Once you have received an email for the account activation, you can download and install Locamagic onto your cellphone. Note: in the following and other help pages, we always use the term "softkey" to represent the command that can be executed by pressing the left or right option key on your cellphone (for example, "Start" and "Exit" on Picture 1 are called softkey "Start" and softkey "Exit"), and "ok" button is the button in the middle of the arrow buttons of your cellphone. Loading the application with iDENJAL Obtain an iDEN phone with GPS and Java capability from a cellphone carrier Purchase a data cable for your iDEN phone Download the iDENJAL application here Download the .jar and .jad files for Locamagic to your PC from the link on your account activation email Connect the data cable to the com-port on your PC and to phone Start the iDENJAL application on your PC Click "Connect To Phone" button. If it ask you to install USB driver, just install it Once connected, click on "Download" button and select the .jad file that you saved in a folder on your PC. Make sure the corresponding .jar file is also in the same folder. Click on the "Open" button from the Open window to load the software onto the phone. If the software is loaded successfully, a small popup window will display “All downloads are now finished” Click on the "OK" button on iDENJAL Exit the iDENJAL application and then unplug the data cable from the phone Loading the application with Nextel's MAM If you are a Nextel subscriber, you can also load the application using Nextel’s Mobile Application Manager (MAM): Get an iDEN phone with GPS and Java Set up an dministrator account on Nextel for MAM https://my.nextel.com/wps/portal/registration/RegLanding Download the .jar and .jad files for Locamagic from the link on your account activation email. Upload the .jar and .jad files to the MAM account. Assign the .jar and .jad files to the appropriate phones. Open “Download Apps” on your phone and select New Purchases and follow the steps to download the application. Installing the application After the application has been downloaded to your cellphone, press "menu" button on your cellphone, select Java App, then select Locamagic on the Java application list and press "ok" button to install Locamagic. When the installation completed, press softkey "Next" to add Locamagic to the main menu and then press softkey "done" to finish the installation.
